if you are someone that needs ZEN and vibes to get into the right headspace, humming puppy is for you. one of the only yoga studios that has been able to SHUT OUT nyc and create such a peaceful environment! they dim the lights, heat the space slightly, and have a light sound bath playing. it does wonders for quieting your mind. they provide everything you need including mat and all props so you don’t have to stress out lugging your things around. they also have a very nice bathroom area with all beauty products provided so you can shower with their very luxe products finally their lobby area is such a chill space and good transition back into the world, where you can have as much tea as you want and sit on the couches. for the classes, i have tried their mellow, unified, and dynamic hum - listed in order of intensity. if you’re used to vinyasa, you will like the dynamic but unified is a great middle option for some challenge but also restoration.
