so many things played a part in my experience with this show, which was mid at best. fine, but wouldn’t see it again. i won the lotto for this, which was a $40 ticket that put me practically on the ceiling. for such a low sold show, i was hoping for a better seat. after telecharge and the box office respectfully told me to go fck myself, i saw the first act from my original seat and moved at intermission. i saw an early workshop of smash and didn’t like it all too much, and was hoping the creative team listened to the feedback we gave. all i can really say is they listened to the feedback. now what that means is up to you to decide. the show is fine at best. but in a season so stacked with good theatre, this falls way short. it’s a shame because this cast is extremely talented and this score deserves a better book. odds and ends. glad i saw it!
