📍Queens Archery, Flushing
An archery class is an activity I’ve always wanted to do so I was super excited to try this intro to archery class. Lessons are required for first time archers which is good if you’re a beginner so you can learn how to use the bow and arrow properly. Equipment rental was 35$ with the beginner lesson and 18$ to rent a lane with your own equipment. If you go onto their website they provide an email to make reservation requests and you can attend if your reservation is confirmed. Lessons are 1 hour long during the evenings on weekdays and earlier on weekends. The specific days and times are listed on their website which I will provide below! You must arrive 15 minutes early to check in and get equipment set up, and it is CASH ONLY! I did this a while ago so I actually don’t remember it being cash only but their website states so.
The first 15 minutes of the lesson are used to show you how to use the bow and arrow and then you spend the rest of the time shooting from different ranges. This lesson went so smoothly, the instructors were there to help you the entire time and intervened if they thought they could help your shooting technique. I had so so much fun!🤍 You were able to take your paper home as a memory and they even gave us a gift card at the end for 10$ off our next session which I thought was nice of them. I’d definitely recommend visiting this spot it was a fun activity. 🏹🎯
