I went to Buffalo Exchange to sell some clothes and browse, bringing two big bags with me. They only bought three items, which earned me $28 in store credit or $14 in cash. Their policy is 50% of what they’ll sell it for in credit or 25% in cash. I prefer Buffalo Exchange over Beacon’s Closet because BC didn’t take anything from me, and their clothes weren’t organized by size like BE’s. At Buffalo Exchange, they go through your items in front of you, which can feel a little embarrassing when they reject most of your clothes, but it’s part of the process. I regretted bringing so much because I took the train and had to lug a lot back. However, I did find some nice things and ended up buying a cute purple purse. Overall, it’s worth trying to sell there, but they mainly look for trendy or unique pieces, so don’t expect them to take much. You might also get more money by listing items on Depop or Mercari instead.
