Had so much fun at the one day wheel throwing class at Blackhound Clay West Philly location. It's a 3 hour course for $72 per person. The class sizes are small so you can get a lot of assistance from your instructor who is really nice and knowledgeable. The first 45mins-1hr is instruction and practice, afterwards you get to throw as many pieces as you like, but you can only keep 2 in the end. They let you choose what glaze you want on the clay and you're able to come pick up the finished product in 3-4 weeks! A really fun experience, I genuinely want to bring everyone I know there. They also hold regular semester classes throughout the year but it fills up fast so you have to sign up and pay as soon as registration is open. I believe if you're enrolled in their seasonal terms you get 24/7 access to the studio which is pretty neat! Omg every once in a while they have essentially a garage sale of some of the clay artwork from students. They have a location in South Philly too if you're down on that end.
