  • Welcome to West Africa…at Elmina’s
Elmina is the kind of restaurant that makes you stop and pay attention. Chef Eric Adjepong’s vision brings Ghanaian and West African flavors into a whole new light — bold, modern, and seriously beautiful. ✨ Vibe: Upscale but not stuffy. Gorgeous space, lively but intimate energy. 🍴 Starter: We kicked off with a special scallop dish — buttery, sweet, with the perfect sear. It already had me ready to book my next reservation. 🥣 First Course: I went for the Curried Corn Bisque — silky, deep, layered with clams, pork lardons, and this hit of palm oil that made it unforgettable. Other highlights? The Ghana Salad with quail egg and ahi tuna, and the Zaalouk Dip with spiced flatbread. 🍛 Second Course: The Fufu with braised goat was pure soul. Stretchy, pillowy plantain and cassava, soaking up the rich nkati nkwan stew. You feel how much history and love is behind it. 🍖 Third Course: For our big plate, we split the Jollof Duck Pot. Think smoky jollof rice, melt-in-your-mouth duck confit, and spicy shito you’ll dream about later. 🍰 Dessert: I went for the Malva Pudding Cake — sweet, nostalgic, perfectly balanced with vanilla gelato and pickled apricot. 🍷 Wine Pairing: Highly recommend it — every pour added something extra to the food without overpowering the flavors. ❤️ Service: Thoughtful, genuine, and proud to walk you through the menu and the stories behind each dish. At $135 for the tasting (plus $55 if you want the wine pairing), it’s an experience — not just a meal. Elmina feels like a love letter to West Africa, but written in a totally new, exciting voice.
