    Under the K Bridge
As a former archie (always in my heart), I love exploring nightlife through the lens of spatial and set design. LadyLand was my first intro to Under the K. The setup for that festival was great—plenty of alcoves, never a crazy line for the bar. If you wanted to be shoulder-to-shoulder in the pit with your friends, you could, and if you wanted fresh air and a water view, you also had that option. The second stage was in a pit with large steps carved into the sides, creating amphitheater-like seating at the edge of the stage. This used to be a really diy scene, but now is a formal established venue managed by State Department of Transportation Tips: • Wear sneakers: there’s a lot of walking • The toilet situation = porta potties 🫠 • Be prepared for closed streets when ordering an Uber home • Book your ticket ASAP: honestly, some of the hottest artists have been playing here—and even if you don’t recognize the names, the performers are always worth seeing
