Trying the BRAND NEW candy store in west village 🍭🍬✨
I went to lil sweet treat, NYC’s newest candy store to find out if it’s worth it. It a super small space, so expect a line but the staff are extremely kind and welcoming and the line always moves quickly!
Once inside, you can pick either a small or large ziploc bag to out your candy in & your own scoop. I really liked this method because the bags are very high quality & easy to seal/store the candy in. Each person having their own scoop also made things super convenient- you didn’t have to worry about a certain candy not having its own scoop or having to wait your turn inside the store.
There are two walls lined with clear plastic bins storing various types of gummy candy, all sources from different countries. There were Swedish, German, Swiss, and Spanish varieties, to name a few. Each was unique and there were a large variety of flavors and textures. The labels for each are at the base of the bins with the name of the candy, where it was sourced from, the flavor profile & the texture. I thought the detail and effort that went into labelling each item was really great as sampling isn’t allowed in the store, so you have a much clearer idea of what you’re getting!
Finally, they do change out their selection weekly so you will always have something new to try. I’ve been twice and the stock was entirely different the second time!
Definitely worth checking out if you are a fan of gummy candy & supporting small businesses :)
