Today is a beautiful day out to take out the E-Bike through the West side and Central Park.
Convenient, But Not for Me ☺️
I recently gave the Citi E-Bike a try, and while I can definitely see the appeal, it’s not something I’d switch to regularly. It’s super convenient and easy to use, especially around the city, and the electric assist makes starting from a stop and climbing hills feel effortless. That boost off the line is honestly better than my regular bike.
That said, if you don’t have a monthly membership, it gets expensive fast—definitely more of a pay-for-convenience option. I also didn’t love how the motor cuts off once you hit a certain speed. I wish the power assist stayed consistent throughout the ride instead of dropping off.
All in all, it’s a solid option for quick city rides, but I’d rather stick with my own bike for better control and no extra costs!
