Top Rated Udon Spot in NYC: Raku
Raku, located on MacDougal street, has been rated as one of the best udon spots in NYC. This is a very cute restaurant with nice interior so it’s a perfect place to take your date. I took my boyfriend here for Valentine’s Day 💛 we ordered karage, curry udon, and tempura udon.
The chicken is fried fresh so it’s piping hot but really juicy and tasty. The udon came out extremely hot too so we had to eat it very slowly. The broth in both bowls were super rich and made very well, but the star of the show were the noodles! They have a hand made texture that you can tell is bouncier and way better than the frozen udon. If you haven’t tried this spot you should since it’s very high quality and everyone I know loves it so much! It is pricey though - came out to around $80.
Rating 8/10 🍜 Amazing quality, expensive, food temperature is extremely hot, good date spot
