Went to the Orpheum in the East Village to see the Jonathan Larson Project and really enjoyed it! I grew up listening to RENT and Tick Tick Boom so it was a treat to hear the songs that were left behind when Jonathan Larson passed away (on the first preview night of Rent Off Broadway — it’s quite a wild story and they touch on it briefly in the show). I thought all of the actors were incredible, and gave full out, present performances. The subject matter is incredibly timely and they haven’t even changed a word since Larson died, so it’s honestly spooky how relevant his thoughts were. Overall, I would definitely recommend checking it out and supporting off broadway shows!
