  • The best of Paperfish Sushi - Brickell Miami
I’ve tried a lot of things at Paperfish (specifically the Brickell location), and some things may not be pictured. My favorite is the Ebi Katsu signature maki ($19, not pictured). It has shrimp katsu, cream cheese, salmon, lime, and eel sauce. My parents’ favorites by far are the beef bao buns (2pc / order) and the wasabi martini (which has a fun bubble and is NOT spicy😊). Another food winner is the Asana signature nigiri ($8 for 2 pcs, not pictured), which is torched avocado, nori, ponzu daikon oroshi, and negi. I want to get a food torch so I can make this at home. The Wagyu Ishiyaki Stone ($55, pictured) was a unique experience where we got to sear premium Australian wagyu on a sizzling hot stone. All the desserts have gluten in them. The strawberry mochi in the mochi sampler is tasty. I only tried the strawberry because I wouldn’t like the salted caramel or matcha mochi. In my opinion, the mochi is just as good or tastier than the chocolate candy bar dessert (pictured). The complexity of the chocolate candy bar dessert feels novel and special, but sometimes after a long meal I want something more straightforward. The Thai tea crème brûlée ($12 as of 2/2023, pictured) is very tasty. If you want to try a prix fixe menu at Paperfish at a less expensive price, you may be able to in August and September. Be sure to check the Miami Spice restaurant list first and confirm Paperfish participates at the time and location you choose. If you love sushi, be sure to save this for your next trip to Miami. ⚡️
