(Was going to gatekeep this one but don’t think I’ll be going back 🫠) Capital One Cafes around the city are giving out free coffees every Monday of the MLB season and I was able to check it out today. When I got to the 36th St location at around 10:45 this morning it was pretty crowded, stood in line for about 5 minutes. Then, we were told by a worker that since they were so backed up, any specialty drinks (lattes, espresso, etc) had a 20ish minute wait but that anything on tap (2 drinks) were available immediately. I opted for the Flash Brew they had on tap and it was… really not good. My coworker who’s basically a coffee connoisseur™️ couldn’t threw his way, and as I type this, I’m struggling to finish mine. I’ve never tried Capital One Cafe before, and maybe the specialty drinks are better, but for now I don’t think I’ll be cashing in my coupon for the rest of the season lol
