Tasty fondue in south Florida 🧀🥩🍫
The Melting Pot has several locations across south Florida, including locations in Cooper City, Boca Raton, and Coral Gables. The videos I took are from the Cooper City location.
I was pleasantly surprised to find that the Cooper City location looked somewhat similar to the Knoxville, TN location I’ve come to know and love. It has romantic lighting and brick walls.
My table enjoyed two types of cheese fondues. They were both excellent in their own ways. One was more of a gruyere and another was more Wisconsin.
We all got salads. I did not enjoy my Cesar salad, and I can’t even tell you why, but I should mention I typically don’t like salads much anyway. 😅
We enjoyed two main courses types that were Valentines Day specials. I chose the bourgignonne base, which was wayyy hotter than whatever my guests chose, but was awesome for searing the meats (haha) and for making things tempura.
Tip: If your server gives you a QR code that gives timers so you know how long to cook your food: don’t trust it. You might have an unusually hot burner like I did, and their timers will cause your food to burn.
For dessert, I got the S’more chocolate fondue and my guests chose the dark chocolate fondue. It was all delicious.
You should expect each course to take at least one hour, so plan accordingly!
Melting Pot generally isn’t cheap. If you have the pantry space and are on a budget, you might consider buying your own fondue pot and trying to make these at home. Nonetheless, I think Melting Pot is a wonderful experience for special occasion.
Be sure to save this for your next date night in south Florida. 💫
