This was my 1st time at Six Flags Great Adventure in New Jersey with kids. We went on a weekend during my nephews’ spring break. Avoid some of the long lines and wait time by going on a less busy day like a weekday. I also highly recommend downloading the Six Flags app for the map and details on each ride like minimum height required. Also make a list on your phone on what areas and rides you want to check out. Keep in mind the lines get long so you might not be able to complete everything on your itinerary in one trip. In this case, I do think a pass is worth the purchase. I got the silver pass so I can keep going back until January 4, 2026. I can also bring a friend for only $20 each. If you don’t want a pass, check the Six Flags website for daily ticket prices because they do change. If you plan to check out the safari, go there first because they close around 4:00pm. My siblings and I took my 3 year old daughter and 5 and 10 year old nephews. Bring a stroller because the little ones will get tired from all the walking and everyone should wear comfort ale shoes and clothes (avoid dresses and too many layers). Also backpacks with snacks, water, sunglasses, and something warm for night time. Bags will get checked in security. Because this was my daughter’s first time here, I wanted to go on as many kid friendly rides. First, we went on Enchanted Teacups. They basically spin like a merry go round, but you can also spin the wheel faster to your comfort. Next, we went on the carousel. This was her 3rd carousel but she still enjoyed picking which to sit on. We made our way to Bugs Bunny National Park and the first ride our 3 and 5 year olds went on was the Bugs Bunny Ranger Pilots. Adults aren’t allowed on these, but we were able to go on the Canyon Blasters with our kids. The Canyon Blasters are like a merry go round but with roller coaster type seats. Last in the BB park, we went on Porky Pigs Camp Wagons. This is a little Ferris wheel with views.
