Review of Din Tai Fung
Luckily, I was able to snatch a last minute reservation as I got there as they were not accepting walk-ins.
It was a fun experience. Our waiter Khoi was so attentive and the owners of DTF were chatting with the tables for feedback.
Although the soup dumplings (Pork & Mochi chocolate) were so yum! Overall, it was not worth the price. My final score is a 6.5/10 ⭐️
Everything I ate:
🥟Pork soup dumpling 9/10. Needs more broth. But it’s bite size, which I love.
🍚Fried rice & pork chops 6/10. Not too memorable
🍜Bone-in beef short ribs steamed soup 9.5/10. Wish it had some greens or herbs.
🫛String beans with garlic 5/10. I’ve had better for cheaper. Wish it was slightly fried first and then to the wok.
🍫Chocolate & mochi XLB 8/10. It tasted like a nutella filling. The sea salt cream made it better.
🍸Black sesame espresso martini 8/10. Size could’ve been bigger for the price.
🧋Black tea lychee boba 8/10. I asked for less sugar which made for a nice taste contrast.
I would try it again but only order the soup dumplings (pork & chocolate) and the steamed soup.
