I feel so happy that this must-go restaurant is right in my neighborhood. Tokyo Ya is a Japanese restaurant in Ditmars, Astoria that offer an unbeatable $20 lunch / $30 dinner sushi AYCE deal. Me and my friend were quite skeptical when we visited this restaurant for lunch last week but both of us were blown away. Truly every item in the menu was quality to me. The sashimi was the star of the show, very fresh and tasty. We especially loved the salmon, yellowtail, eel & red clam. I would recommend ordering some sushi to try then go all in on sashimi so you can have as much seafood as you can eat. The appetizers were delicious as well, so crunchy and warm at the same time. We liked the chicken karage, shrimp tempura & pork katsu. We definitely went to town here and you should see our receipt on the last slide to see the amount of food we ordered for 2 people 😬 💵 The bill came to $25 per person with tax and tip included, very affordable. 📍Tokyo Ya: 36-06 Ditmars Blvd, Astoria, NY Party of 3 or more might have to wait a bit longer because the place was packed when we came on Friday lunch.
