Pottery & Painting @ Elly’s Arts and Crafts 👩🏻🎨🎨🖌️
Spent the loveliest evening at Elly’s Art in Queens for a pottery painting session, and it was honestly the most peaceful two hours I’ve had in a while!!
You can take full pottery classes here, but we just came for painting—and it was perfect. Tons of adorable ceramics to choose from (cups, plates, little boxes and figurines), all at different price points.
I picked a heart-shaped jewelry box and got to paint it with the prettiest pastel colors. The staff was so kind and attentive, checking in just enough but letting us enjoy the time. It was $10 to reserve a spot, plus whatever item you pick—I paid $25 for mine, and it felt so worth it. Bonus: we were there for the evening session and they gave us complimentary pastries from their in-house café (!!).
Such a warm, welcoming space with bubble tea, snacks, and a full bakery up front. We’ll definitely be back. We actually have to because while you can paint the pottery, they glaze it afterwards and it takes a week or so! So we will head back to collect it soon but can’t wait to see the final product!!
Highly recommend if you want something relaxing and creative to do in Queens. 💗
