I’ll start by saying that I’m not a sporty person, but I’m always up for embarrassing myself a bit and trying things out. I had a fun time at the Astoria location with my husband! If you’re also a total newbie, they have the rules of the sport painted on the wall upon entry, but you don’t need to follow any of them, obviously. You can just do your own thing. There’s also a private room at the back that you can book (like I did) in case you’re worried about hitting the ball wrong and becoming a public menace in the main room (I didn’t want to hit anyone lol). They have many locations and the table reservations start at about $20, I believe. For more context, PingPod is a fully automated table tennis space, open 24/7. They host leagues, classes, and you can reserve them for a party. Check ‘em out!
