Officially my favorite spa in the city!! 🧖🏽♀️💆🏽♀️
This is probably one of the nicest, cleanest, and most immersive spa experiences I have ever had—and it is so much more than just a spa!! QC Spa New York, on Governor’s Island, offers a full-day getaway that combines wellness, relaxation, entertainment, and stunning city views. 💅🏽🏙️
From now until May 2nd, if you go on a Monday or Friday evening, you also get to witness a magical outdoor show with light dancers and fire performers!! It feels like stepping into a dream—and the evening pass, which costs about $136 with tax, is absolutely worth it. With the evening pass, you can stay for the afternoon and evening, catch the sunset, and enjoy the show. Even better, with the purchase of any drink (yes, even just a water bottle or soda), you get access to a buffet. While the buffet leans more toward the light side—one main course, salads, breads, soups, quiche, and a wonderful dessert spread—it complements the spa experience perfectly without feeling heavy. 🥹
The space itself is gorgeous and expansive. The outdoor heated pools look out toward Manhattan, and it is STUNNING. Inside, there are multiple themed sauna rooms, steam rooms, waterfalls, foot baths, hot tubs with jets, and even unique spaces like a waterbed room with one side heated and one side cool—possibly the most relaxing thing I have ever experienced. Around every corner are face scrubs, lotions, and cozy spots to lounge. There are even swings and quiet corners where you can unwind in solitude despite the spa being well attended. It never once felt overcrowded. 🧖🏽♀️
I stayed from 5:30 p.m. to closing at 9:30 p.m. and still felt like I could have stayed for hours more. The staff were incredibly kind and attentive—one person even gave me a mini tour and brought me face masks to try.
As a note, you will need to take the ferry to Governor’s Island, but your spa ticket includes a complimentary round-trip ferry ride. I will definitely be back, next time for the full day. It is 100% worth it. ❤️
