We went on a date to Gyu Kaku in LIC yesterday and it definitely did not disappoint!! I’ve had a lot of Kbbq in NYC but never tried Japanese bbq. We went for the $85 set meal for 2 and upgraded 3 cuts of meat which were totally worth it. Even though you’re paying the price of AYCE regular bbq, the quality of meat here is much higher. I personally think this is better cause I don’t leave feeling grossly full with grease afterwards. The manager said that they’re actually doing AYCE at Gyu Kaku soon as well so there’s that option. The service was also really great - staff are super attentive at all times! They have a soft launch discount deal going on during the week and their rooftop is opening sometime next week.
