Sendo is a new and affordable omakase that has fresh fish and is centrally located near Herald Square. They don’t take reservations but you can put your name in and grab a drink nearby. Since they’re new, their waitlist doesn’t have a queue with times or slots that’s externally facing. They opened at 5, and I put my name in for a party of 2 at 6 on a Wednesday and had to wait a little over an hour. There’s about 12 seats and they only have sake and beer on the cocktail list. While I don’t generally like sake, it was extremely crisp. We ordered an additional 4 handrolls to split which was an extra $24 (total). The location is a bit hidden - halfway up the flight of what appears to be an apartment building.
