I had the pleasure of going to The Crafty Lounge’s Knitting Workshop this past weekend. The Crafty Lounge is located on the Upper East Side, 81st & 1st - easily accessible via subway. They offer knitting and crochet classes for all skill levels. They even have hand knitting classes to make chunky blankets / stuff animals! They opened right after Labor Day in 2024 so they are a newish business and the owner, Lori, was super friendly! The class is $99 and runs about two hours. The class starts with a demo that lasts about 20 minutes, during which instructors walk around and make sure everyone is grasping the concepts. The rest of class is really independent time to work on your scarf/project! I went solo and enjoyed talking with the others at my table, everyone was really friendly. I left class confident in the knitting stitch and casting on. I was unable to finish the scarf within the two hour timeframe but it made for a perfect night at home activity to do while watching severance! Anyone else watching? I love it.
