NYPL Young Lions Fiction Award
Established in 2001, The New York Public Library Each June, the NYPL Young Lions membership group, made possible by donations from members, puts on a beautiful award ceremony and party for a writing award by NYCs young readers. The event is held at the main NYPL branch on 5th Avenue and is a beautiful night. This year, Penn Badgely hosted and Ebon Moss-Bachrach did a reading from the winning novel.
Alexander Sammartino won this year and took home the 25th Young Lions Fiction Award for his book Last Acts.
Young Lions Fiction Award is a $10,000 prize awarded each spring to a writer age 35 or younger for a novel or a collection of short stories.
