Another activity that calms my mind and body besides walking my dog is going to Christine's Ikebana class, I've had two sessions so far and it's a great experience, so I’m writing it here to recommend it. There are classes in the Flatiron District and on Shelter Island, check out her ins or website (pictures 2 and 3). You have to take 4 beginner's classes before you can take regular classes. At the end of each class, you'll be taken a picture, and you can take the flowers home with you. Reminds me of the time when I was a kid in hobby class.
