A few days ago I celebrated my birthday by going on a birthday freebie crawl with @Jojo Z in the hopes of collecting a bunch of food… It ended up being a big fail - heads up make sure you prepare your freebies the month before… Starbucks - every year I get a free starbucks drink but little did I know they recently changed the policy so that you have to use the app within 365 days and purchase something in order to get gifted your free item. I don’t use the app so no freebie for me 🙃 Crumbl Cookie - you have to spend $50 on the crumble app to unlock a silver membership which gives a “free” birthday cookie. $50 isn’t free Crumble, be so for real Mamoun’s Falafel - Tbh I was disappointed in this one the most just because I was really looking forward to a free sandwich. I hadn’t eaten lunch yet 😔 Turns out they don’t do this discount at the MacDougal street location which unfortunately the location we were at 💀 But I called another location on saint marks and learned you need to have been a member on the app for over a month to receive the freebie either way. Lazy Sundaes - this was the last spot we hit and was also the 4th birthday freebie fail bc I wasnt a member. Additionally Joey and I also struggled to even see where you add your birthday in the lazy sundaes app and when we asked the staff they had no clue either? But when all hope was lost one of the staff members offered me a free boba so it wasn’t a total fail thanks to the staff 🥲 Also Joey felt bad and ended up getting me some fried chicken so shout out to her! Also the S’more team got me a cake so I was still satisfied with how it all turned out 🥳 If you end up going on these birthday freebie crawls don’t make the same mistakes! Make sure to make all of your accounts a month before and do a little research to make sure your eligible for each of the freebies
