Calling all muppet lovers!!
🎥 The Museum of the Moving Image in Astoria has an ongoing Jim Henson exhibit where you can learn about the history of his creations including the Muppets and Sesame Street! The exhibit includes muppets donated by his family (Kermit, Miss piggy, big bird, Elmo, Cookie Monster & more)
🍿 In addition to the exhibit, they regularly show Muppet movies in their theater, most recently the Muppets Take Manhattan! Baby Kermit, Rowlf, and Gonzo were also on display following the babies’ theme.
I had a great time at the movie and exhibit! The museum has lunch/snacks for purchase which you are able to bring into the theater. This is a great low-price summer activity to explore on your own or with friends/family.
