Lots of surprise at Seed to Table - Naples, FL
As I was planning a trip to Naples, Florida, several sources recommended Seed to Table. Seed to Table is a two-story grocery store that specializes in local or organic things or something, but it’s unlike any grocery store you’ve seen before. There are six restaurants, there are four bars, and there’s live entertainment seven nights a week.
I knew from a “FJB” poster photo on Yelp that I might be going into highly Republican territory. What I didn’t plan for is that the day I went was also the day of Trump’s second inauguration, and I guess it was THE spot to be for the locals. I tried hard with my photos to show y’all the store without the pro-Trump & anti-Biden things in the store which likely had an amplified presence for the inauguration party happening this day. The parking lot was beyond full.
Sooo besides the political thing I happened to walk in on - I really liked the variety of things offered. I went in the morning when they can make you a custom omelette. I wish I had the chance to try a smash burger cooked in front of me. The baked goods (breads) looked amazing.
I appreciated the emphasis on the items grown by the local farms.
I enjoyed how Seed to Table was offering free samples for some products.
There was a section in the back corner where you could by MyPillow products. MyPillow is a pillow and bedding company commonly advertised on Fox News commercials.
I liked the quality and pricing for most things. The onions were a better quality than what I see in southeast Florida. $23 for a big platter of cut fruit is amazing, but $15 for a California roll is insane.
Special statement: I support non-hateful political expression and free thinking, and I’ve worked to speak on the political components of this objectively.
