Got the chance to see a live taping of journalist Kara Swisher’s podcast, hosted by The Great Hall at Cooper Union, with comedian Josh Johnson as the guest! The two had a hilariously insightful conversation where they discussed the comedy industry, politics, and their many intersections. I came as a fan of Josh’s— seeing him in this discussion, outside of the Daily Show or a stand-up format, was super unique and refreshing— but really appreciated Kara’s interview style and walked away a fan of hers as well! The tickets to this event were free from Eventbrite (with the stipulation that entry was first-come-first-serve and not guaranteed with just a ticket, but I got there early enough that that wasn’t a concern). Apparently, Cooper Union hosts free science and arts related events like this often and I definitely hope to attend another one in the near future!
