Now that the weather is starting to pick up in New York, it is a good time to plan a summer trip to the Lavender Fields in Long Island. Lavender By the Bay is a family-run lavender farm in East Marion and Calverton, New York. It's one of the largest lavender farms in the United States. You may need to rent a car to comfortably get here but we had such a lovely time - also attending nearby towns such as Huntington and we drove south to East Hamptons. We loved these sprawling fields and you can also buy fresh Lavender to take with you from the store. One thing I will say is to watch out for the bees and bring bug spray - there were a lot do them!
