As a southside Jamaica, Queens native, it's not always easy to find quality restaurants that offer great food, beverages, and atmosphere. So, as summer nears, I plan to recommend some restaurants that I have enjoyed and that you can, too - be it with friends, family, solo, or perhaps with a significant other. First up on our journey is KANDELA. Kandela serves an array of genuine Mexican cuisine for you to select from. And trust me when I say, the food is always on point. Did I mention that having a great time here won't empty your wallet? They offer lunch specials from 11:30AM- 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday, and their beverage happy hour runs from 12-6. They also host unlimited Brunch, Taco Tuesdays, Ladies' night, and other special promos to pick from. 📍: Ozone Park 🍾:10/10 - the drinks pack a punch! I'm a fan of the hibiscus Margarita 🥙10/10- Personally, I find their food delectable, I have never been served a poor meal. And if you go for the lunch special, don't forget to order the soup! 😎: 8/10- I have yet to attend one of their special nights. But I have visited at random hours and the staff is fantastic, music is top-notch, and I adore the ambiance.
