I feel like Murray Hill is a great spot for lower key lesser known rooftop bars. But maybe I’m also biased because I live nearby and it’s convenient? Either way, I saw a sign stating that the rooftop was now open at Vintage Green in the Shelburne Sonesta Hotel and popped in to check it out on my way home last weekend. If the weather isn’t great there covered indoor space offers great views as well and then they have one main outdoor area and one smaller standing room only one. This is nice in case you want to switch up your view during your time there. Drink menu is decent and though prices are a bit higher than a non-rooftop, it could definitely be worse. Technically this rooftop has been open since July 2024 but it still seems pretty new! Entrance is separate from the hotel restaurant and is on 37th street.
