Thrilling racing experience in Jersey City! 🏎️ 💰 Cost: Races are $30/race + $5 for required headscarf. We opted to get the membership for $75 which gets you two races day of (worth $60) plus one free race next visit, included headscarf, free t shirt, and $5 of game play credits to use at their arcade. The membership lasts a year and also means future races are only $20/race vs $30/non-member price. ❗️ You must wear closed-toed shoes to race. You are able to rent shoes for $5 if you forget 🪄 Experience: If you like racing or are just looking for a thrilling experience, this is the place! You don’t have to worry about getting a ticket for speeding here! (But also it is NOT bumper cars so do not be crashing into others as they will give you warnings) As you get ready for the race, you watch a quick tutorial video but it’s fairly straightforward, one side is the gas one side is the brakes. The headscarf is quite tight plus the helmet that is a bit heavy—for those claustrophobic, might want to get a feel before committing. Once you’re on the tracks, you just start going and the system automatically records your laps based on your kart number. Each race takes about 8 minutes total. Once you’re done, you get to see the results on the screen and they are also emailed to you. If you signed up for more than one race, you can play at their various arcade games while you wait or sit and watch others race. Accumulate points at the games to redeem for prizes at the end! 🍔 There is food on site (burgers, snacks.etc) but it is sit-down only so we opted to grab some delicious local food nearby instead. 🧭 Location: Easiest to get to by car as it is a bit far from public transportation. From JC, you could take the light rail southbound to Liberty State Park (plus a 30 min walk or 5 min Uber/Lyft ride). If coming from NYC, take PATH to Hoboken, Newport, or Exchange Place and take a 15 min Uber/Lyft
