If you’re in the South Bay and you’re not feeling the 3 hour drive up to Muir Woods,📍Henry Cowell State Park (near Santa Cruz) is the best alternative. ⭐️ You can park for free by checking out a State Park pass from any California Public Library as long as you have a card. ⭐️ 0.6 mile loop to see around 10+ redwoods. They don’t have the tallest redwood (Muir does), but tall enough. ⭐️ You can explore the railroad (it is active and used so be aware) and other trails that branch out from the main loop. ⭐️ Great escape from summer sun.
