Free VMA tickets šļøā¦not worth it
3/10 āļø
I got free tickets using 1iota.com to be a super seated fan. I hot told the day before the event I won which was unfortunate because it left little room to get everything sorted out ā esp since it was in Long Island. But whatever, I was use it to so I went
We drove and paid $50 for parking, but the LIRR was close by as well so I liked the transport options and they had a super quick check-in process.
However, things went downhill when I got to my seatsā¦or where my seats were SUPPOSED to be. Because instead of seats for super SEATED fans, there was a big pole. It left so little space that they couldnāt even attempt to put chairs, and we couldnāt even stand there because it blocked the camera. I went to 15 DIFFERENT PEOPLE for help (I counted) and no one would. The people in my suite said to ask an MTV official, the MTV-official said to ask guest services, guest services said to ask the box office, etc. I finally got to a 1iota official and he said āyeah thatās where youāre supposed to be, thereās nothing we can doā. Apparently every other seat was taken. What makes this worse is he LIED to me and 2 other girls who had a very similar problem saying he would come get us in the Hyundai club halfway through to be placed in the pit when people left, and he never did. We told him and the suite person exactly where weād be. We even saw him one time passing by and he waved us off.
After that, there was nothing left to do but stand the whole time in the very back of the stadium where we could barely see anything. The only reason why this isnāt a 1 star is because at least security didnāt stop us from standing in the aisle where we could at least see 1 stage (plus Katy Perry and Sabrina Carpenter rocked)
But honestly, would have rather stayed home or gone as a pit or seat filler. Although I do want to say as a super seated fan they didnāt take away our phones or put it in a case, so I was able to record unlike them.
