Federal Hall national monument. Only open weekdays. Federal Hall was the first Capitol Building in the US (and NYC the first capitol.) Inside this building, the first congressional session was held and George Washington was inaugurated President. In the 1800s, it was rebuilt to be a US Custom House and Treasury building. Now, it’s run by the National Park Service and is FREE to visit!
