Today, for National Pretzel Day, Wetzel’s Pretzels was offering free original pretzels after 3pm, and I went to the Columbus Circle location in Manhattan around 2:50pm to pick one up. They started handing them out around 2:56pm, and there was basically no line because the guy working there was handing them out at lightning speed. The pretzel was very hot (I suspect fresh out of the oven), and although I nearly burned my hand on it, it was incredibly fresh. (I also visited Auntie Anne’s for a free pretzel earlier in the day, and between the two pretzels, I would say that Wetzel’s was definitely my favorite.) Happy National Pretzel Day!! 🥨
