    FBI Academy Tour
When I talk about this experience, I’m not referring to those flashy, interactive museums where you pay 20 bucks to pretend you’re a spy (yes, I’m looking at you, Spy Museum). I’m talking about the real deal—100% authentic FBI Museum. At the start of the tour, a retired agent welcomed everyone and gave a brief introduction to the FBI’s background. Apparently, he’s somewhat of a legend—the last agent hired by J. Edgar Hoover himself. The old gentleman explained that the tour’s main goal is to show people what the FBI is really like, not the version you see in movies and TV shows. He even joked about how those gd movies have completely messed up the public's perception. 😂 Another purpose of the tour, he said, is to inspire younger generations, hoping kids will grow up interested in becoming agents and eventually apply to the FBI. The tour mostly covered what it takes to become an agent—training programs, areas of expertise, what types of cases fall under the FBI’s jurisdiction, major cases they've solved, investigative procedures, and some fun, hands-on crime-solving mini-games. Two parts stood out to me the most: the K9 section and the memorial wall for fallen agents. Many of the names on the wall belonged to agents who had worked at the 9/11 site and passed away years later from rare cancers… Important note: Most areas are strictly no photos 📷—only the exhibition zone allows it. Places like the agents' gym, dining and break areas, coffee spots, and the underground shooting range 🔫 are all off-limits for photography.
