I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to Duke Farms last week, and highly recommend it! It was very close to me, but it is well worth the trip. The staff at the Farm Barn were very helpful when figuring out where to go, and the trails and landscapes are beautifully kept. My personal favorite part was the orchid greenhouses, but the meditation garden and mermaid pool were close seconds! Duke Farms is totally free! And it’s the perfect place to go for a quick bike ride, get in a good walk, or even sit in the shade and read. I personally hope to go back and do some sketching. I heard that it can get especially busy on the weekends, so you’ll likely have to make parking reservations online in advance- still completely free, though!
