✨ Lighthouse Beach ✨ On Fire Island, steps away from Robert Moses, is a secluded beach with clean water and fun waves. It’s quite here, it’s peaceful, and it’s relaxing. It truly feels like you’re on vacation, especially with the lighthouse in the distance. The Fire Island Lighthouse currently sits as the 6th tallest lighthouse in America! This beach used to be a clothing optional beach until the laws changed in 2013. However, online there’s multiple claims of it lowkey still being clothing optional. I personally saw two nude older men walking along the beach, but hey i don’t judge and they stayed far away. Everyone in my area was wearing suits. It is also referred to as a gay beach, and honestly i never felt safer at a beach before so id take that as a huge plus. The walk to the beach is a hike, about a good 10 minutes since there is no direct access to the beach. You can either walk along the shore starting at Robert Moses, take the guided boardwalk, or a pedicab for $5 a person.
