Cherry blossoms at Brooklyn Botanical Garden ๐ธ๐ธ๐ธ
I had heard so much about the cherry blossoms at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, but somehow, I had never visited โ until now. And honestly, I could not have picked a better time. April is absolutely magical there. The entire garden was in full bloom, and it felt like we had somehow been transported to Japan without ever leaving New York.
There were cherry blossoms everywhere, falling around us as we walked. When the wind blew, it looked like pink snow โ so beautiful it felt surreal. A lot of people even showed up dressed in pink, making it all feel even more festive and dreamlike. We brought a little picnic, found a cozy spot to sit, and just soaked it all in. The garden is open until 6 p.m., so you have plenty of time to really relax, walk around, and enjoy the day at your own pace.
Tickets are $22 for adults and $16 for students. They also offer a limited number of free community tickets, but those sell out fast, so I definitely recommend grabbing them early if you can. Either way, the experience is 100% worth the admission fee. It is truly stunning.
We only explored a small portion of the garden, but everywhere you look, there are gorgeous flowers โ not just cherry blossoms, but tulips, magnolias, and so much more. One of my favorite parts was that the garden has signs and plaques next to many of the plants, telling you exactly what variety you are looking at. It is such a simple but wonderful detail that makes wandering through feel like a little adventure in learning, too.
