Cheap tailor in Chinatown (save my Halloween costume đ)
As someone who always puts in serious work on Halloween costumes, a trip to the tailor is a staple of my costume prep (I refuse to buy one! Instead, I hit thrift stores to piece everything together đ¤Ł).
This year, Iâm going as Wednesday Addams, and a black skirt is an absolute must. I found one I loved, but it was way too big. After trying multiple tailors in Brooklynâwho either couldnât do the alterations or quoted me up to $60âI discovered a hidden gem in Chinatown: Friendly NY Fashion!
They were so nice and offered to alter the skirt for just $35 (I feel like Chinatown always has the best deals). Three days later, I got it back, and it fits perfectlyâsnug at the waist yet comfortable enough to sit, dance, and run! It's definitely becoming a regular outfit.
If you need any tailoring for Halloween or just want something altered, check them out!
