Breakfast at Tiffany’s 🥂🩵
Disclaimer: As a huge Audrey Hepburn fan, I happily walked into the Blue Box Café knowing it was probably a tourist trap.
Tucked inside Tiffany & Co.’s iconic Fifth Avenue flagship, the café offers a French-inspired high tea crafted by Michelin-starred chef Daniel Boulud.
Its afternoon tea costs $98pp and includes a beautifully presented three-tiered tray (savories on the bottom, sweets on the top) and your choice of tea.
The food was delicious and the service was warm. HOWEVER the interior design was extremely tacky imo (Tiffany blue splattered everywhere)…definitely not the timeless, understated elegance I associate with Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany’s.
I don’t think any high tea is worth $98, so I really came for the nostalgia and the novelty - I just wish the experience felt a little more elevated and a little less gimmicky.
