The actual Grammy Museum is in Los Angeles. However they have select events in New York City. Most events they have an artist in conversation with someone and then they perform some songs. I was lucky enough to go to one for Japanese Breakfast being held at the National Sawdust earlier this year. They have events there or in lower Manhattan. Michelle Zauner spoke on her process a creating a new album and her thoughts and motivations. She answered a few questions from the audience. Then she went to perform. I think it is truly a great intimate experience if you are interested in music and artists. You get to hear from them and how the sausage gets made. I can’t wait to attend more events from the Grammy Museum.
