I say this is the best mocha in NYC because I’ve ordered at least over 50 mochas around different coffee shops around the city, and Pueblo Querido in Greenpoint comes out on top. The issue with mocha is that it’s always either too sweet or doesn’t take like chocolate at all, but the mocha here (especially when made by Sebastian) has a perfect balance of thick chocolate flavor with espresso, hint of sweetness never overpowering. I believe they use cocoa powder to make the mocha, saw them doing that a few times. It’s located in an apt building by the water which is super quiet, this waterfront never has people and it’s perfect for dog walking. You can sit in the lobby which doubles as the cafe’s seating area and take in the water view. They have another location in Greenpoint but the coffee there is not as good as this location in 1 Blue Slip. If you love mocha, now you know where to get a proper one!!
