Yesterday, I went to see an advanced screening of the upcoming movie “Babygirl” with live Q&A. It’s coming out on Christmas Day, starring amazing actors such as Nicole Kidman and Antonio Banderas. The plot revolves around a powerful female CEO who is risking her career and family by starting an affair with a much younger intern. Being an erotical thriller, it’s definitely an R-rated movie that not everyone would want to see in a movie theater. I thought that the acting was amazing and the movie was thought provoking. It was very interesting to hear from the writer and director, Halina Reijn, about what inspired the storyline and what she wanted to convey to the audience. In addition, I highly recommend the Alamo movie theater that often hosts very interesting screenings. They also offer food and drinks that are reasonably priced. Overall, my experience was an 8/10.
