My best friends and I have our own skates so we finally went and got free admission at the Bryant Park Ice Rinx. You can still go till early March this year I believe. It is open around holiday/christmas time but definitely way longer waits and way busier. It was such a nice day out and the ice was perfect! As long as you reserve in advance, you should have no issues getting a good time. The time slot is for an hour. They clean the ice before every session and have free shoe/bag check which is super nice because you are not allowed to bring on the ice. Keep in mind that they will not let you take your phones out until you are off the ice. This was such a wonderful experience I would definitely do this again!
