Aunt Jake's Pasta Class: Expectations vs Reality 🍝😅
Don’t come for me Aunt Jake’s lovers. I think the concept was super cute right—pasta class w/dinner with an affordable price — it was just a little too good to be true. I can see why this would be a great friends or date night too but it’s a no for me.
There were at least 15 people taking the class in the middle of the restaurant. What I feel like no one mentions is that other people (from earlier classes or just restaurant goers) are literally seated around us. My friend across from me kept getting bumped by the waiters cuz there really wasn’t any space. It was giving lunchroom vibes. This experience would’ve been so much better if they give people at least 2 hours in between classes.
The one hour pasta making class was great but I also was right next to the instructor so I heard everything as he spoke and showed it. The people down the table couldn’t hear him for a fact and he had to go to the other side to tell him what to do since he didn’t do the demonstration twice.
My last gripe with this experience was that they give us a dough ball to take home. This sounds great right you can take it home and make more pasta—wrong. I don’t know about y’all but I don’t have a pasta machine. Some people don’t even own rolling pins 🤣 I also could not get the dough ball flat enough like a sheet of pasta, so I couldn’t make the shapes I was shown.
P.S my friends and I didn’t think the food had enough seasoning 🤧
