I love snowboarding and have been doing it for a few years, there are many options (not many close enough to the city) but snowboarding is expensive :( buttt Mountain Creek, one of my favorite snowboarding spots especially when I had just begun and where I first learned, has a Groupon voucher 🤫 so it’s only a 1.5 hour drive from the city and If you act now you can snatch their Groupon that costs $55 for an all day lift ticket pass and $85 for a Lift ticket and rentals! Mountain creek is the perfect little day trip. I just went with my friends using the Groupons and we snowboarded allll day, had food and sweets from their cafeteria, and sat by the bonfire to stay warm and they even have DJ (all Fridays). MountIn creek is definitely more affordable than many other mountains.
