  • A lucky night at Aladdin
We got super lucky and scored lottery tickets to Aladdin on Broadway (originally around $90 each, but we got them for just $40-45 each!). The timing couldn’t have been more perfect — it was their 4000th show, and also what would’ve been Howard Ashman’s 75th birthday (he’s the genius behind Aladdin, The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, etc.). At the end of the show, there was a surprise one-night-only tribute to him. We got to see Alan Menken (yes, the Disney composer legend!) perform songs that were originally written for Aladdin but never made it to the final cut. And Jodi Benson, the original voice of Ariel, sang live — goosebumps!! The whole show was spectacular . I kept dancing a little in my seat the entire time — everything from the set to the singing was so on point. Still can’t believe we caught such a special night 🧞‍♂️✨
